WELCOME to Wild Mountain Livestock - W.M.L.! We are located in the Central California town of Bradley. Bradley is 20 minutes North on Hwy.101 from the famous wine area, Paso Robles. The ranch sits on 500 acres of rolling hills dotted with Oak trees. The climate lends itself reliable for raising quality Cattle, Barley and Quarterhorses.
Wild Mountain Livestock Ranch is owned and operated by NICK RIVERA & SUSAN RAMOS. We both share the love of the outdoors and livestock.
Nick oversees the Quarterhorse operations, farming and the feed programs. Sue, with her family background of Cattle out of Echo, Oregon, naturally took the responsibility of helping Nick with the Cattle operations. Nick and Sue together, along with the help of their son, daughters, and friends, are dedicated to continually improve and master the quality and production of all aspects of a "Family Ranch Business".

CATTLE OPERATION
We began our Cattle operation with ten (10) Commercial cross bred cows from Sue's Dad in Echo, Oregon and a Registered Black Angus Bull we purchased from Swan Family Angus an Angus breeder and Bull developer in Templeton, California.
After a year of breaking into the cow-calf operation we decided to move into the Pure Bred Registered Black Angus breeding program. We then began our search for quality Registered Angus cows. We are currently focusing on the top 25% or better of breed on Expected Progency Differences (EPD) and well known established bloodlines. Today we operate our cow-calf production with an average of 50 Dams, 2/3 are Registered Black Angus and the other 1/3 are Commercial cross breds. We breed ALL our Dams with our Registered Black Angus Herd Sires. Continueing to improve the registered herd, we invested in an Oak Ridge bull "Oak Ridge 036 New Design 2081" #14117033 and our Registered Angus program developed strongly with many quality offspring.
We are excited to announce two NEW Herd Bulls, both from Vintage Angus. "VAR Future Direction 4189" #14664932, his offspring will be on the ground spring and fall of 2007. He has EPD's that are promising to be a great addition to our program and in turn will provide excellent offspring available for sale. The newest Vintage bull "VAR Future Direction 4189" #14664932 will have offspring on the ground begining fall of 2007. We have for sale (private treaty) Heifers, Bull Calves and a few mature Bulls. Many of our Calves would make great "Club Calf" prospects. All Registered Black Angus and Angus/Commercial cross Cattle for sale are on their appropriate sale pages. (see tabs listed above)
QUARTERHORSE OPERATION
The natural progression from the Cattle business led to horses and just what Nick was waiting for. Nick's experience with wild horses, rodeo and starting colts when he was young never left his dreams. The Quarterhorse breed always being his true love, Nick searched for the perfect beginning and attended the Rick Machado "Main Event" horse auctions. Today Wild Mountain Livestock has invested in several young colts out of "Fresnos Ima Master" and "Buck N Tuff" Stallions. Starting these weanlings and working with them on a daily basis has developed gentle, trusting and lovable horses.
